Dekolonisierung im globalen Kontext – Podium und Empfang / Decolonisation in a Global Context – Panel Discussion and Reception
Warum sollten sich international agierende Organisationen mit Dekolonisierung befassen? Wie können transnationale Institutionen diesen Prozess sinnvoll gestalten? Welche Herausforderungen, Verantwortlichkeiten und Chancen ergeben sich daraus?
Anlässlich des internationalen Treffens der ICOM Working Group on Decolonisation laden wir am Mittwoch, 4. Juni 2025 um 17:00 Uhr zu einer Podiumsdiskussion mit Expert:innen aus den Bereichen Museum, Kultur und Wissenschaft ein, einen gemeinsamen Blick auf den fortlaufenden, kritischen Prozess der Dekolonisierung zu werfen. Die Veranstaltung findet im Centre Marc Bloch in Berlin statt und wird auch live gestreamt – die Plätze sind begrenzt. Im Anschluss freuen wir uns auf einen gemeinsamen Empfang, veranstaltet von ICOM Deutschland und der Provenienzforschungsfonds am Centre Marc Bloch.
Why should internationally operating organisations engage with decolonisation? How can transnational institutions shape this process meaningfully? What challenges, responsibilities, and opportunities arise?On the occasion of the international meeting of the ICOM Working Group on Decolonisation, we invite you to join a panel discussion with experts from museums, culture, and science on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at 5:00 PM. Together, we will explore the ongoing and critical process of decolonisation. The event will take place at the Centre Marc Bloch in Berlin and will also be live-streamed— seats are limited. Following the discussion, we look forward to welcoming you to a joint reception hosted by ICOM Germany in cooperation with the Provenance Research Funds at Centre Marc Bloch.
