Von Prof. Dr. Burkard BaschekWe are searching for a qualified, enthusiastic scientist and curator to lead and represent the museum’s research and collection activities on seals and co-create current and future exhibitions. You will lead necropsies of marine mammals, including their scientific evaluation. In addition, you will manage the scientific collections on seals. The position includes the evaluation and public presentation of fisheries management activities and current topics related to marine conservation, in particular in the Baltic Sea. You will represent topics related to seals and marine conservation in the museum’s exhibitions and outreach activities. In this role, you will work closely with other research areas of the museum, such as marine invertebrates and mammals, fishes, marine conservation, and ecology.
