Steph Scholten
Prof. Steph Scholten ist seit August 2017 Direktor des Hunterian Museums und Professor für Berufspraxis (Universitätsmuseen und -sammlungen) an der University of Glasgow in Schottland, Großbritannien. Seit den späten 1980er-Jahren ist er in und mit Museen in den Niederlanden tätig, unter anderem als Direktor (Allard Pierson, Universität Amsterdam, 2009–2017) und als Sammlungsleiter (Rijksmuseum van Oudheden, Leiden, 2002–2009). Er war Mitglied des Exekutivkomitees von ICOM (2022–2025), EthCom (2017–2022) sowie stellvertretender Vorsitzender von ICOM-UMAC (2019–2022).
Prof Steph Scholten is the Dutch director of The Hunterian and Professor of Professional Practice (University Museums and Collections) at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK, since August 2017. He has worked with and in museums since the late 1980-ies in The Netherlands, amongst other as director (Allard Pierson, University of Amsterdam, 2009-2017) and Keeper of Collections (National Museum of Antiquities , Leiden, 2002-2009). He has served as a member of ICOM’s Executive Board (2022-2025) and EthCom (2017-2022) and as Vice-Chair of ICOM-UMAC (2019-2022).
