Unser Gast ist diesmal Claudia Porto, Museologin am Museum der Abgeordnetenkammer/Kongress von Brasilien und Mitglied des ICOM Brazil Advisory Council.
Am 8. Januar 2023 führten antidemokratische Angriffe in der brasilianischen Hauptstadt zur Zerstörung des historischen und künstlerischen öffentlichen Erbes des Nationalkongresses, des Bundesgerichtshofs und des Planalto-Palastes. Der Vortrag gibt einen Überblick über die Reaktion dieser Institutionen auf die Zerstörung ihrer Sammlungen und unterstreicht die Bedeutung der Nutzung von Sammlungen mit historischem und kulturellem Wert als wesentliche Instrumente für die Erziehung zu Demokratie und Staatsbürgerschaft. Als praktisches Beispiel für letzteres wird die Autorin die Forschung zu den Sammlungen der Abgeordnetenkammer und daraus erwachsende neue Vermittlungsprogramme vorstellen.
Claudia Porto ist Museologin am Museum der Abgeordnetenkammer/Kongress von Brasilien. Sie unterrichtet "Neue Medien für strategische Kommunikation" am MBA in Museumsmanagement und Innovation in Sao Paulo und arbeitet als unabhängige Museumsberaterin mit besonderem Interesse an digitalen Strategien für die Sammlungskommunikation. Zuvor war Claudia als Arts and Exchange Coordinator beim British Council Brasilien und als Direktorin des Museums Casa da Marquesa de Santos in Rio de Janeiro tätig. 15 Jahre lang leitete sie ein Studio für Webinhalte mit Kunden wie der Brasilianischen Wissenschaftsakademie und America Online. Bis 2023 koordinierte sie das globale Online-Festival MuseumWeek in Brasilien. Claudia war Mitglied des Staatlichen Kulturrats von Rio de Janeiro, des ICOM Strategic Plan Committee und saß zweimal im Vorstand von ICOM COMCOL und im Verwaltungsrat von ICOM Brasilien. Derzeit ist sie Mitglied des ICOM Brazil Advisory Council.
Im Anschluss besteht die Möglichkeit, Ideen, Wünsche und Feedback an den Vorstand von ICOM Deutschland heranzutragen und sich mit anderen Mitgliedern auszutauschen.

This time, our guest will be Claudia Porto, museologist at the Chamber of Deputies Museum, Congress of Brazil and member of the ICOM Brazil Advisory Council.
On January 8, 2023, antidemocratic acts in the Brazilian capital led to the vandalism of historical and artistic public heritage at the National Congress, the Federal Supreme Court, and the Planalto Palace. This lecture will provide an overview of the response of these institutions to the destruction of their collections, highlighting the importance of using collections with historical and cultural value as essential tools in Education for Democracy and Citizenship. As a practical example of the latter, the author will present research conducted on the collections of the Chamber of Deputies, which has been proposing actions in partnership with various departments of the institution.
Claudia Porto is a museologist at the Chamber of Deputies Museum, Congress of Brazil. She teaches "New Media for Strategic Communication" at the MBA in Museums Management and Innovation in Sao Paulo, and works as an independent museum consultant, with a special interest in digital strategies for collection communication. Claudia formerly served as the Arts and Exchange coordinator at the British Council Brazil and as the director of Casa da Marquesa de Santos museum in Rio de Janeiro. For 15 years, she ran a web content studio with clients such as the Brazilian Science Academy and America Online. Until 2023, she coordinated the global online festival MuseumWeek in Brazil. Claudia was a member of the State Cultural Council of Rio de Janeiro, the ICOM Strategic Plan Committee, and served twice on the board of directors of ICOM COMCOL and the Administrative Council of ICOM Brazil. She is currently a member of ICOM Brazil Advisory Council.
